The Writing test evaluates your ability to communicate effectively in written English through practical writing tasks.
General Structure
- The Writing test takes approximately 53 minutes.
- It consists of two tasks, each requiring a written response.
- Both tasks assess your ability to communicate appropriately for a specific purpose and audience.
Task 1 – Writing an Email
- Write an email responding to a given situation.
- Adapt your tone and content to the intended recipient and purpose.
Task 2 – Responding to Survey Questions
- Respond to survey questions by expressing and supporting your opinions.
- Present clear reasons to explain your chosen position.
What Is Assessed
- Communicating ideas clearly and effectively.
- Organising information in a logical and coherent way.
- Using appropriate vocabulary and grammatical structures.
